In early 2014, I found myself beginning to pay back an enormous pile of student loans from pursuing my doctorate. I have a job that I absolutely LOVE, but I wasn’t making enough to help myself get out of debt. I was just making it by – and struggling to find the money to do anything for fun. I began looking at part-time jobs in food, retail, and mental health: ANYTHING to give me some extra income to pay down debt and get freedom from financial worry.
I had been following a high school friend’s Shaklee journey for sometime, as we were high school friends and connected through Facebook. I visited the Shaklee website countless times over the years. One day while I was trying to figure out how to improve my financial situation, I saw a post from Bonnie (my high school friend) and the amazing women with Project Dream International and began wondering if it was something for me. I talked with friends and my skeptical boyfriend. I requested information. I watched a video. I was torn, but I thought, “If Bonnie can do it, why not me?!” A few days later, while I was still debating whether it was the right business opportunity for me, I saw a recent video filmed by Shaklee of Bonnie telling her story. During her video she said, “Why not me?”, and I think a tear or two fell from my eye. It was then that I KNEW that Shaklee was the right business opportunity for me.
As time has gone on, I discovered even deeper motivation and inspiration that drive me to be successful in my new business of helping others improve their health and wealth – Ask me!
