My Favorite Things – Alfalfa

My Favorite Things

Another Fri-YAY and another edition of Dr. Lauren’s Favorite Things!

Spring has been in full force here in Florida and pollen counts have been HIGH.  I am so thankful that I discovered this amazing allergy relief tool.  I must be allergic to something tropical, because my allergies have been far worse here than in the Midwest or Pacific Northwest.  Pollen counts jumped up one day, and I immediately had a migraine, my face was puffy, and my nose was like a faucet (sorry for that visual).  Can anyone else relate?? I immediately started taking alfalfa and felt immediate relief! After a couple days of taking it regularly, I completely forgot I even have allergies! And… the pollen count has continued to be high for 3 weeks! I never experienced this kind of relief from prescription or drug store allergy relief medications.  Bonus – it helps fight inflammation (which is factor in most disease processes) and helps with digestion.  Here’s a little more about Alfalfa…

AlfalfaComplexAlfalfa

This is my go to for seasonal allergies.  I strongly recommend adding this to your allergy/sinus relief program.  With deep roots extending 10 to 20 feet into the soil, this amazing plant is rich in trace minerals and protein plus contains 8 digestive enzymes. Recognized as a natural anti-histamine, allergy sufferers report good results from taking the little compressed sun-dried leaf tablets … containing no pesticides, fungicides, growth regulators, or synthetic hormones.  Other popular uses for alfalfa are swelling, pain and stiff joints, ulcers, stomach ailments, hiatal hernia, water retention, gout, body odor, and bad breath. It’s important to note that not all Alfalfa tablets are created equal.  I only trust Shaklee Alfalfa... you can check it out here.
